Aloha All,
It is has been a little while, but I thought “back to school, back to blogging” 🙂
So I hope everyone has had a fabulous summer, stitching or not. I myself have been stitching but most of what I am doing is my special mystery projects that will eventually come to light. Yes there are more wonderful things in store in the not so distant future.
I can show you this little fellow that I started. Cheryl Timko’s twenty-six finished ornaments made me think that an ornament or two was not a bad idea, therefore in spare moments I am stitching my own. Thanks Cheryl for showing me the way!
I will talk more about stitches for this piece on Wednesday. Routines are good, therefore my new routine will be to add the
Stitch of the Week
on Wednesday. This will guarantee my blogging at least twice a week
Thanks to another good friend here in Cleveland I have been introduced to Art Etc. Picture Framing. This is a wonderful framing shop, with the most unusual and creative ideas for framing. I am just so glad we have this wonderful store here and the owner is such a treasure to talk to. Judy Wald McConnell has her needlepoint framed there, and these are her most recent finishes,
The framing just sets off Mr.Wonderful, don’t you think?
When you have amazing stitching you want the framing to be awe-inspiring. Well Edie has certainly managed to capture it along with Judy’s great eye. I just love this orange frame, it is so totally cool! I may have to find a piece to stitch just to use this frame!
Stitching comes to life with the finishing, that is why truly great finishers are a treasure to find. If you live in the Cleveland Area, Art Etc. Picture Framing is located at: 2144 Murray Hill Rd, Cleveland, OH – Phone: 216-229-4943.
I am sure most of you have been looking to see all the new canvases from the past TNNA show this weekend in St.Charles. So far I must say that I like Leigh’s newest Halloween designs on the bright orange canvas, “the Familiars” . Click on the link and it will take you to Leigh’s site. I have not decided which one is my favorite yet, “the Defenders, Hunters, Prowlers “, I just love that there are three cats. The number reminds me of my three kitty’s living in the garage. Yes they are full-time cared for residents. The cars have moved out to allow space for the cats. There is a story behind this, but it can wait for another day or maybe I will just post it under the Zoo later on….
Well that’s all for now folks, have a great stitchy week and I will definitely catch up with you on Wednesday !!!

Great stitch for Santa’s red uniform! And I like the orange frame as well, even though I don’t even LIKE orange!

That orange frame is a must-have for me. It would be worth a trip to Cleveland, just to see your framer. I see a road trip in my future.

Edie is a great framer, with an awesome selection of fun frames. I would definitely recommend making a trip to see her. If you do email me and we can meet up 🙂
