Aloha All,
This one is for Jane of Chilly Hollow . She asked so nicely that I had to show the full photo of the Witch’s Hat before I put any more stitch’s in. I am changing the top by the tip. I have the stitch already and will be using T-stitch around it, but I just have not ripped this out yet. So without further ado here it is,
While I am thinking about it, I may also be changing the boot, so don’t be surprised. I am sure you are not by now, since “Change” is my motto 😆
Since we are rapidly approaching the start of the Advent Calendar I thought I would give a little gift to everyone. An actual type of advent calendar for the month of December. Print it out on heavier stock paper. Spray paint an older cookie pan and line with Christmas Scrapbook paper. Center this calendar in the middle, then you can use your multitude of magnets every day to mark off the days until Christmas ❗ Now isn’t that a good idea for your extra magnets. You will always know where they are. You can use any metal spray paint from the Hardware store, Michael’s, or any craft store, Target, Wal-Mart. At the top of the cookie sheet you could add a decorative bow, and that would look really festive.

Now you might think that I have the fabulous Melissa Shirley advent calendar, but alas, I have not treated myself to that yet. I have drooled over it for a long time, and I love both of them. I don’t know which one I like better. All I know is that I would have to get the plum pudding to put on the tree, that is a must have for me. Here are both of them for you to lust over,
I don’t think my photo of the 2009 Advent Calendar does it justice. What do you think of them? Which one tempts you? I already have a few advent calendars, nothing like this of course. Then I have the quilted packet to be made up. Yes a bought a lovely kit at a quilt shop. The woman told me it was easy, well I opened it, and promptly put it back in the package. I have never re-opened the package to date. It still looks as lovely in the package as the day I purchased it. I just don’t quilt, I tried, but this is rather finicky.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Now Jane can peacefully drink her coffee after she sees the lovely photo. PS, love the gator ornament. Folks you have to check it out at Chilly Hollow.

Stimpy and Noe are tucked away in their lovely heated garage, the “Garage Girls”. Lobo snuck in last night, but didn’t make it past Stimpy tonight…

Personally, I’ve always liked the colors of the 2008 advent better. Yet another project that I hope to live long enough to stitch. 🙂
Send a photo of your advent quilt. I might be able to put it in perspective for you. 🙂 Easy is relative, you know.

You lucky duck, sounds like you may have it 🙂 I will sprint upstairs to get the advent quilt. It is really cute, if you want it, I could send it to you 🙂

Aloha again,
I can’t decided which MS Advent Tree I like best but I think 2009 one just edges out the other. The owl in your header looks just like one of the owls in the fabric of Ruth’s Christmas snap tray?
Hope to talk with you soon, Maria

What can I say, we think alike. I picked that digital scrap design a while ago.
