I want to wish all my Canadian family & Facebook friends a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend!! Spend time doing all the things that make the day special for you I also want to thank all my loyal readers who have stuck with me during my slow blogging, that means a great deal to me!
Now this was a good mail week, I received several items back from Sue Parsons at “West Coast Finishing”, Christmas in a box Of course you are about to see everything I received!! If you need to connect with Sue Parsons her website is http://westcoastneedlepointfinishing.com.
Before I show you all my lovely finished pieces I will give you today’s stitch. I am using a Tied Scotch Variation for the boxes in my Skull fob.
The different types of thread give two different effects. Depending on how much definition you want will determine the thread you choose. I am using Petite Sparkle Ray’s since this is going to be the back of a coin purse and I feel it will hold up to the wear and tear.
If you would like a larger chart of this stitch you can find it in Ruth Schmuff’s “Stitches Volume 4” on page 287, it is also on her app. The variation I charted in purple and orange is just reversed. I also numbered my stitches for individual use.
Now for what you have been waiting for, photos of finishing!!
Of course this will be a lovely treat box
I did make a couple of changes to this guide, but not much.
That’s todays finishing show, but Beardie has been leaving little treats on the porch for me, it seems like I have too many birds!
No mamma, I did not eat the whole bird in front of Stimpy and Noe, just a little!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and have fun with the Tied Scotch Variations, great stitches in a multitude of places! I am blogging as much as my arms will allow at this time, so hang in there with me!
Stitch a little for me and again Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend everyone!
