I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July holiday I tried to go and see The Indians play some baseball but the game ended up being delayed due to rain! It never fails when I try to go to a game the rain generally follows me! Enough about baseball, as promised today’s post takes you inside “What’s the Point Needlepoint“. It is a lovely store with a terrific assortment of canvases and threads.
Before the tour I will give you today’s stitch which I named “Raindrops”.
Raindrops is a darning pattern that looks like its name! The sample is stitched with one ply of Petite Silk Lamé in a pale color so that it blends into the background. Of course you could stitch it in a darker color and have it stand out a bit more. What do you think of this background stitch?
Now for the best part, the shop tour!
Upon entering the shop you are greeted by this fabulous sign!
The next room is filled with walls of threads and of course some canvases.
After wandering around the thread room you enter another room with more threads, canvases, books, & notions.
There are a number of ongoing monthly clubs at What’s the Point and if you really only want a couple of canvases in the series they are more than happy to send just the canvases you want! Of course you don’t get a club discount but you also don’t have to buy the entire series, which I thought was brilliant!
This ends todays tour, I hope you enjoyed walking around the shop with me!
Stimpy and Tango want to say hello! Tango has become quite a rascal lately and has taken to jumping up on the counter to steal my food after he has finished his own meal!
Have a great week and take time to put a few stitches in! Until next time,
