The stitch for today is what I am calling “Serendipity Variation”, if you know this by another name please comment. I was just doodling with my graph paper after looking at different stitches. It is a small stitch that would work well in smaller areas. Try it as Santa’s Bag, Rainbow Linen would be fun to use with Petite Very Velvet, nice textures. A combination of threads is always fun with combination stitches.
It is with a sad heart that I write the rest of this post. Originally I was going to post day two of my East Coast vacation, but I will post that next time.
My beautiful baby girl, Nixie died on the evening of October 10th. She had a short bought with cancer. Nixie had been doing really well post operatively and had a grand time on vacation, but her time here on earth came to an end.
This is my Ode to Nixie,
My Nixie girl!
You were my little companion,
always by my side.
You came to us because of your bark,
announcing your adoption.
Many a treat you got,
by barking out your tale.
Free Spirit was your motto.
You chose the paths you wanted to walk,
You jumped in the car at any given chance.
The house was always full of your sounds,
Now it is so quiet.
In my heart you will always be,
until the end of time.
I still see you by the couch,
always watching, always alert.
Auf wiedersehen my beautiful strong girl, we will meet again……
The last is my favorite photo of Nixie, she looked straight into your eyes and soul.
Thanks for listening to my ode, next post will be my visit to Bedecked & Beadazzled.
