This past week I have not only been catching up with my stitching, I have also been flipping through my “Oprah” magazine’s. Yes I do read “O”, it is amazing what insights will hit you!
From May 2013’s edition I was so pleased to find the article “O, happy day”. In order to feel lighter, brighter and improve your mood, the very first thing we are to do is “COLLECT”. Wow, this allows you to feel the thrill of the hunt. I love finding new needlepoint sites on the web, even better when the stores you know put things on sale I loved this article they invited you to collect something you really want that has multiple items that you can add to your collection. This improves your overall psyche, I wonder if Dr.Oz had anything to do with this. My take, feel free to buy as many canvases & threads, as you want, these are Collections. If anybody questions this tell them it is good for your psyche, you read it in May’s edition of “O” page 104. Explicit instructions allowing you to hunt for said canvas, it is even better if you have to look around a bit longer!
Now if you are hankering for a canvas that is now out of production you may want to check Canvases Begone. I have seen a number of canvases that you cannot find in stores because they have been removed from the designers collection. Stitching Destashing is another site you may want to put in your Bookmark folder. Stitchers send canvases they would like to downsize (hmm, good idea since then you can add more); I have seen estate sales here in the past, so treasures may be found. There are other places like eBay, but check out the seller first, they may also have an eBay store. Failing store searches, posting what you are looking for on our friendly Needlepoint Nation on Facebook may place you in contact with someone who has the canvas and may be willing to part with it. The options out there are plentiful and when you find what you are looking for, a smile of satisfaction will be part of your reward Just remember Oprah endorses Collecting!
Finally I managed to get into my program to graph a chart for you. The computer program has been running a little slowly. I was envisioning waves in the water and I graphed this.
Have fun with the graph.
That’s all for today, TNNA is this weekend and all the designers have come up with new designs! On that thought happy stitching or perusing.
