We have sprung into Spring, or at least that is what the calendar says! Unfortunately the air has little too much bite, or it is a bit too “fresh” for my liking. Next week should be more like Spring here in Northeast Ohio.
Today I am bringing you a Celtic stitch in honor of St.Patrick’s day. Make it a border or a background, I have shown how it would look both ways. As always have fun with the stitch, I love beads so I added a few.
If you want to stitch this as a background stitch like I did space the second row two threads below the bottom row, and follow the same pattern. The photo shows how the bottom of one row matches up to the top of the next row. You could leave as many threads between as you like. My second row is slightly smaller, not done intentionally so watch your count! The example is stitched with three plies of silk. Click here for the PDF of the stitch, Celtic stitch and photo.
I received a new camera and if course I have been playing with it. The girls have been cooperating, unfortunately Tango does not like his photo taken and refused to look up. I know you have seen the girls many times, but they are my muses for now 🙂 They also don’t complain and will pose for me 😀 You are lucky not to be living here since I may be a bit like the paparazzi for a while! Watch out Cheryl!
I just love Noe and Beardie’s beautiful green eyes.
Have a wonderful weekend stitching, enjoying Spring, or whatever you love to do!
Until next week,
