Autumn arrived on a lovely warm day here in Cleveland. The evenings are definitely crisp which is wonderful for stitching. I must admit that I don’t stitch as much during the summer since I love doing more outdoor activities. What do you all do in the summer, stitch or enjoy the outdoors?
Today’s stitch has a story 🙂 While traveling I really liked the pattern of the carpet in my room. Once back at home I started to doodle around graph paper trying to mimic the pattern. I was not able to replicate the pattern, but I did chart a fun stitch! I had so much fun with this stitch that I charted it two ways. Tell me what you think of them?
I loved how Stormy Sky worked out. You could fill the area between the clouds in tent stitch or just leave it open. Can’t you just see the storm brewing 🙂 Then I decided to elongate the stitch and low and behold, we have jumping dolphins in the sea! Of course this would work for sky as well 🙂 My imagination tends to run wild at times, I even see shapes in clouds! Seriously though, tell me what you think!
You can see how my mind works by looking at the carpet photo 🙂 Isn’t it a neat pattern!
My Labors of Love Oriole is coming along nicely, hopefully it will be finished in the next couple of weeks so that I can start on Ruth’s mystery class “Halloween Hooter”.
Of course my post would not be complete without a few photos of the cats 🙂
That’s all for now folks, have a great weekend!
