Aloha All,

I am sure you must be all shopped out by now! The TNNA 2015 Phoenix market looked like a lot of fun. New canvases from all the designers filled the showroom from what I saw. I want to show you a couple of canvases that I really liked. The first is from Tapestry Fair, they hit it out of the park in my books. But you have to know I am very partial to Day of the Dead 😮

This canvas is fabulous! Instead of a skeleton we have a woman with her face painted as a skeleton for Day of the Dead. I actually did this in 2010, I know you aren’t one bit surprised 🙂

If you are looking for a specific cat Labors of Love has now released ten different cats with patterned backgrounds. They have also added three more dogs, still no Landseer Newfoundland in the grouping, maybe one day ❗ The Halloween Stand Ups are fabulous they come on 13 & 18 ct.

Leigh Designs introduced “Jungle Heat” and I have to say I do really like the design “Volcanic Hawaii”. I am partial to Birds of Paradise and these are beautifully painted.

These are a handful of the designers who have updated their websites already, click to see the new designs Melissa Shirley , Raymond Crawford , Pepperberry Designs , JP Needlepoint , Needle Deeva , Associated Talents , Barbara Bergsten Needlepoint , & More , Unique NZ . Jane of Chilly Hollow has a TNNA 2015 tab on her website and she has been busily updating it with all the new designs she is finding! Jane is trying to enable me and showed me this new canvas from Cheryl Schaeffer .

The number of new canvases always amazes me, there are hundreds of them!

Alright enough of market and on to the stitch of the day. This is a Barred Beetle Variation. It is charted in two directions to show two ways to stitch it. This would make lovely feathers or fish scales. Use Petite Peluche and a single strand of silk for feathers, Neon Rays with a Kreinik on top for fish scales. You may see this stitch for a completely different type of area on your canvas. It is a fun stitch that I charted a little smaller.

This morning I was watching some of my outside zoo, the birds. I am not sure what the Blue Jay is eating other than snow.

Stimpy and Tango had a stare down in my office this week. Tango was on her couch and I am not sure that Stimpy was pleased.

Aloha All, I love stitching in all forms, currently I work mostly on painted canvas and embellish it will different stitches and beads.

I also love animals and currently have 4 cats, 3 that live in the house, and my 1 girl who refuses to live inside but pops inside to eat :)

When I am not stitching I may be knitting or exploring with my camera in hand.
